Identify a coin from a photo
Take a photo of both sides. Keepmint suggests the coin, the year on it, the metal and the edge, and shows how confident it is. You check the result and save it.
More about the coin identifierSnap both sides of a coin, get its details, and keep every price paid, date and storage spot in one place on your iPhone.
Keepmint does three jobs: tells you what the coin is, remembers what you paid, and shows what your collection adds up to.

Built for real collections that mix US coins, world coins, old silver and modern commemoratives.

Keepmint was created by a coin collector who wanted one place to record what each coin is, what it cost and where it is kept. The coins you see on this site come from the founder's own collection.
About KeepmintKeepmint is an iPhone app for coin collectors. It identifies a coin from photos of both sides and keeps a log of your collection with photos, price paid, purchase date, estimated value and where each coin is stored.
Keepmint is free to download and includes a free plan with a monthly number of AI identifications. The paid Expert plan adds more identifications and the AI value estimate. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.

When you ask for an identification, the front and back photos are sent over an encrypted connection to our server, which passes them to our AI provider, Anthropic, for analysis. The result comes back to your iPhone and is saved there with the coin. Our server does not keep the photos or the result. Details are in our Privacy Policy.
